This book was absolutely amazing. It centers around two sisters who are estranged and haven’t every really gotten over the disappearance of their older sister and they come together again after one of the sister’s husband is killed. The story sucks you in relatively early on. I was so involved in the story that I ended up finishing it in a few short hours.

I felt the novel was well written and the writing style was easy to get into. There were a few points where I was scared about what was going to happen next and was unsure if I wanted to turn the page.

This book is definitely heavy on rape and torture so if that isn’t really your thing then you probably want to skip it. However, I feel like if you aren’t triggered by those things you will probably quite enjoy this.

I thought the relationship between the two sisters was done well. The author conveyed how much hurt there was due to the estrangement but also conveyed that the sisters were hurting because they had lost their older sister. I felt for the two characters and I really liked how the author brought them together.

I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
