June 2017 TBR (Emojiathon)

This is going to be broken down into two sections and those sections will be books I will be attempting to read for the Emojiathon and everything else. I think I only have two or three books that aren’t counting towards the emojiathon.

Non-Emojiathon books (I might finish these books sooner since there are still a few days left in this month):

small way

This book was chosen as the buddy read book for a group I am part of. It’s one of those books that if I get to it I get to it.

the patience stone

neverending story

Emojiathon books:

– read a book about a marginalized group

looking for group

I actually got this book in the Quarterly Literary box so there are notes by the author in it. I am pretty excited to give it a try even though I am not 100% certain I will like the content.

– read a book that was gifted to you

almost missed you

This book was technically gifted to me by my aunt. She sent me a gift card to amazon and this was one of the books I was able to buy.

-Read a book that you are annoyed at yourself because you haven’t read it yet

cameron post

This is a book that I have been highly anticipating since I found out about it. I knew I would probably like the book but I’ve been putting off buying it. I ended up getting this book in the Quarterly box and since I now own the physical copy I figured I’d give it a shot.

-Read a thiller or horror

into the water

-Freebie! Read any book

shining afflction

-Read a cry worthy book

I have heard great things about this book. They are turning it into a movie which comes out November 17th and it stars Julia Roberts and I love her. Have to read this so I can go see the movie.

-Read a book you’ve been anticipating

based on a true story

I found out about this book a while and have been wanting it. I think it only recently came out and thanks to my aunt gifting me the amazon gift card I was able to purchase it.

This TBR is a little ambitious I suppose. I am usually able to read about 8-10 books a month though and I think I will probably read one or two of these before June (The ones that aren’t for emojiathon). Also, I am not fully committed to reading A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet or The Patience Stone.
