A long way home by Saroo Brierley

I thought this book was relatively good. It was a fast read for me and while the chapters were on the longer side it seemed like I breezed through them. I thought the story itself was amazing and it’s sad to hear about the way less fortunate people live. I had no idea how many homeless children there were in India.

I think that this book was eye opening in a lot of ways and I am glad that I chose to read it. The biggest issue I had with it was that it seemed like the last chapter wasn’t 100% necessary. I know why it was added to the story but I don’t feel like I took anything away from reading it and I found myself skimming it.

I have heard great things about this story from someone on Booktube which is initially what got me interested in reading it. I can say I was not disappointed by the book and I feel like I’ve taken a lot away from reading it.

Rating this book I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.
